The Oxford Education Association and the Board of Education reached a tentative contract agreement Wednesday evening, Pam Niles, a field representative for the New Jersey Education Association, said. The association's negotiating team will meet with members on Tuesday to share the settlement terms. No details will be released until after the ratification, she said. Calls to board of education President Bill Ryan Thursday and Friday were not returned. Oxford teachers have been without a new contract since June of 2004. A one-year salary increase was settled for 2004-05, Niles said, when the two sides could not reach a new contract agreement. © 2006 The Express-Times . Used by NJ.com with permission. |
