FRANKLIN TWP. | The Warren County Technical School's board officially hired its new chief school administrator Monday at an annual salary of $125,000. Blairstown Township resident Robert Glowacky will earn $10,000 less a year than his predecessor Alan Naimoli, the acting principal and superintendent. Naimoli's $135,000 salary included a $15,000 stipend for taking on both jobs. "The contract has yet to be developed but there will be no perks in it and (Glowacky) has already agreed to that," school board President Harold Warne said. Warne said he expects the contract to be finalized and available to the public after the board's regular July 18 meeting. For the last 17 years, Glowacky worked at Union County Vocational Technical Schools as a teacher, coordinator, supervisor and principal of adult education. In February, the board requested a waiver to combine the job of superintendent and principal, a move school officials said would save at least $120,000 a year. The waiver was granted in March. The New Jersey School Boards Association was then hired by the school board to conduct the search. Naimoli, who was with the district for five years, withdrew his application before interviews began for unknown reasons. Over the past few weeks, the school board has held special meetings to interview candidates. Glowacky's first task is hiring an interim business administrator and conducting a search to permanently fill the job. Former Business Administrator Vito Dellibovi, who held the job for a year and a half, resigned effective June 30. Warne declined to explain why, citing confidentiality. "We are definitely on the right track and we will be transparent, making information available as soon as it is legal," Warne said. Reporter Sara K.
